My name is George Frentz III, and I am the founder of Superior Tungsten. I love fishing. It has always been my passion.
Fishing can be an expensive hobby. Fishing tackle can be downright outrageous, primarily if you fish competitively. I wanted to create a company that sold quality terminal tackle for an affordable price. I sourced products and services, searching for the right mix of quality and affordability. I wanted a product that innovated the way anglers fish, so I stamped my weights with their weight and size to be more readily identifiable. I launched Superior Tungsten to provide high-quality products at an affordable price.
Our high-quality weights are 97% pure tungsten, which makes them considerably more durable and compact than traditional lead, while being environmentally friendly.
Currently, we offer two primary colors: a green pumpkin painted weight and a black oxide weight with the color baked into it.
Because the color is baked into the black oxide weights, they become “chip free”, which is an advantage over all painted weights.
With our bore-through, polished weights, the smooth center ensures your line will not fray due to rough edges.
